I was preparing for the upcoming shoot, my makeup was almost finished, I was putting on my favorite red lipstick. I was dressed in a small black dress and my favorite heels, I took a step closer to the full-length mirror for a final inspection and I felt a strange sensation like I was being pulled forward. At that moment I did not give it much thought and stepped away.
William was supposed to pick me up, so I went outside to meet him. When I left my house something looked and felt totally different, I could not quite figure it out. All the houses looked like there were somehow old, but looked new. I was little confused, I did not know what was going on. I got my second surprise when William pulled up to my house in an old-new turquoise color power wagon and told me to hop in.
I almost did not recognize William, it was his distinctive voice that put me at ease. He looked like 50 years melted off of him. He was so handsome, his dark hair was slicked back, he was wearing impeccable black trousers with two-tone shoes and a tan color shirt. He had a pocket watch hanging on the chain. He was just acting so normal like nothing bothered him, and he was just happy to see me, like always.
I just had to close my mouth and pretend that everything is as it should be. My shock did not stop there, we drove through the town I was not recognizing either. Everything looked old in a new sort of way. We finally got to the location and started shooting. I was just hoping my shock was not going to show through William's lens.
